A horrible and shameful incident happened in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. It has been alleged that a 9-month-old girl was kidnapped and raped while sleeping next to her mother. In this incident, the police arrested a 12-year-old boy. Investigators have also seized a mobile phone from the teenager.
This incident happened on Friday night. That night the mother was sleeping next to the daughter. But he woke up around 2 in the afternoon and found that his child was not around. The family members of the deceased kept searching for the child in the surrounding area late at night. The child was found bleeding in a tin house in a field about 500 meters from the house on Saturday morning. The child was immediately rushed to the hospital where doctors confirmed that she had been sexually assaulted.
Police have started an investigation into the incident and have initially spoken to the family members. After the conversation, the police suspected the 12-year-old relative. Just three days ago, the girl had come home from Chandigarh to Gorakhpur. Then the police arrested the teenager and interrogated him. Police also found his speech somewhat incoherent during interrogation on Sunday morning. Later the police took him into custody.
According to PTI sources, the girl later confessed the crime to the police. He told the police that on Friday night he was drinking and watching porn videos on his mobile phone. Then he picked up the sleeping child at night. Investigators are also examining the mobile phone seized from him.
Sources said more than 50 offensive videos were found on the mobile phone and various pornographic websites were viewed from it. The victim is currently undergoing treatment and appropriate legal action has been taken against the incident, Gorakhpur Superintendent of Police Nimesh Patil said.
