Iran has once again closed the Strait of Hormuz despite a peace deal to protest Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon. In the meantime, reports of casualties in Israeli attacks in Lebanon have started to arrive. As concerns over the continuation of the incident rose again, US President Donald Trump posted a post about Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Malone. Maloney was so outraged by the post that he almost told Trump on social media, ‘Mind your own business’!
Before the Maloney vs. Trump feud mounts, US President Donald Trump made a recent post. “His (Maloney’s) popularity in Italy is currently declining, one possible reason is that he helped the United States, a country that actually loves and protects Italy, prevent Iran from acquiring or developing nuclear weapons, but not the United States (NATO certainly played a similar role),” it said.
“He (Maloney) wouldn’t even let us use Italian landing strips or runways, which would have been a major inconvenience logistically or strategically, but the reality is the US spends hundreds of billions of dollars every year on the security of Italy and other so-called NATO allies.”
Then comes the response of the Prime Minister of Italy! “As for my popularity, being your friend certainly didn’t help there, nor did my relationship with you,” Georgia Maloney wrote in her post. My popularity depends on my ability to defend Italy’s national interests – and I have always done so.’ Maloney then wrote: ‘What do you think of my popularity! I suggest you concentrate on your work.
In a recent interview, Trump previously claimed that behind the scenes at the G7, ‘he (Maloney) asked to have a picture with me.’ “I probably wouldn’t have taken the picture,” Trump said. But I felt bad for him.’ Then Maloney responded. “Donald Trump is totally making stuff up. I’m surprised too.
Iran has once again closed the Strait of Hormuz, expressing concern over global trade. Iran has closed the Strait of Hormuz citing the Israeli attack on Lebanon as a violation of the agreement signed by Tehran with Washington.
