Assam's Lovlina Borgohain Wins Gold at Grand Prix Boxing Tournament in Czech Republic


 

GUWAHATI: Olympian and Assam boxer Lovlina Borgohain added another international medal to her career by winning the Gold Medal at the Grand Prix Boxing Tournament held in the Czech Republic from June 16 to 20.

Lovlina's gold medal was among several medals won by the Indian contingent at the tournament, which saw podium finishes in both the men's and women's competitions.

The Indian women's team secured four gold medals and one silver medal during the tournament, while the men's team contributed four gold, two silver, and one bronze medal to India's overall tally.

For Lovlina, the latest triumph marks another significant achievement as she continues to maintain her presence among the country's top boxers ahead of major international events.

The performances at the Grand Prix Boxing Tournament are expected to boost India's preparations for upcoming competitions, including the Commonwealth Games, while reinforcing the country's ambitions in global boxing.
