GUWAHATI: Passengers travelling to and from the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport have been advised to start their journeys in adcance as road repair work on the Jalukbari–Airport route is expected to cause significant traffic congestion over the coming days.
In an advisory shared on X, the airport authorities stated that road repair work along the corridor is likely to cause heavy congestion and slow vehicular movement till June 23.
The airport urged passengers to plan their travel accordingly and allow additional time to reach the airport in order to avoid delays.
"Due to road repair work on the Jalukbari–Airport route, heavy congestion is expected, and traffic movement may be slow till 23 June 2026. Passengers are advised to start early and plan their journey accordingly," the advisory stated.
