A landslide in Jatinga area of Assam’s Dima Hasao district on Sunday disrupted traffic on NH-27 connecting Jatinga and Harangajao due to heavy rains. A large part of the hill collapsed and mud and debris piled up on the highway, completely disrupting traffic and leaving hundreds of passenger vehicles stranded on both sides of the road., Buses and cargo trucks are stuck.
Due to the unexpected blockade, many commuters and pedestrians were stuck in heavy traffic and had to wait for several hours despite inclement weather.
