GUWAHATI: Guwahati Police have busted a prostitution racket operating from a parlour-cum-spa in the Geetanagar area of Guwahati and rescued eight women.

Acting on specific intelligence inputs, a team from Geetanagar Police Station carried out a raid at SNB Parlour & Spa located at Uday Path in the area, leading to the exposure of the alleged illegal activity.
During the operation, police arrested the parlour manager, Namita Devi (30), and caretaker Anil Boro (23) in connection with the case.
“Articles like packets of condoms, vaginal tablets, registrar of customers and trade license copy were seized,” Guwahati Police posted on X.
Further investigation is underway.
