Popular Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has received death threats from people associated with jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. According to an NDTV report, the threats were made through social media posts and voice notes. Mumbai Police is currently investigating the matter. However, no formal complaint has been lodged with the police by Aamir Khan or his party.
According to the report, two associates of Lawrence Bishnoi, Arju Bishnoi and Tyson Bishnoi, sent threatening messages on social media. The post accused the actor of encouraging love jihad by linking it to his recent third marriage. It has also warned that those who encourage such acts will face dire consequences. Aamir Khan, 61, tied the knot with his partner Gauri Spratt earlier this year, making it his third marriage.
The post also mentioned the abduction and torture of a 13-year-old girl in Rajasthan’s Sri Ganganagar last month. Police and authorities have been praised for their swift action in the incident and political leaders have been issued with stern warnings. The message makes it clear that if a political figure tries to save a criminal, they will face the same fate as the criminal.
