Man Held with Fake Currency Notes Worth Around ₹1 Lakh in Guwahati


 

GUWAHATI: A 21-year-old man was apprehended by police in Guwahati late on Monday night, August  for allegedly possessing fake Indian currency notes worth around ₹1 lakh, police officials said on Tuesday.

The accused has been identified as Harsh Agarwal, a resident of Bharalumukh in Guwahati.

According to police, Agarwal was apprehended at around 9 PM on Monday based on specific intelligence.

A case has been registered against him in connection with the seizure.

Police officials said the accused was released from police custody on Tuesday. 

Further details regarding the case and the seized currency are awaited.
