‘Modi is destroying the country, Trump is destroying the whole world!’ Congress has criticized the Prime Minister’s ‘My Good Friend’ policy

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge has condemned the much talked about ‘friendship’ between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump. Addressing a public meeting on Sunday, he claimed that the closeness of the two leaders has destroyed not only India but the future and present of the entire world.

In Kharg’s words, “Prime Minister Modi has destroyed this country, and Trump has destroyed the entire world. Yet whenever they see each other, they say, ‘My good friend, my good friend’!” The Congress president claimed that the common people of India will have to pay the price for this friendship.

It is alleged that the friendship between Modi and Trump has increased the suffering of the common people of the country day by day. “If you two are such good friends, why should the people of the country suffer? If Trump had not adopted such a policy, the price of oil in the global market would not have increased so much. Friendship has not benefited the country but has damaged India’s reputation,” Kharge said.

Condemning the Prime Minister’s foreign policy, the Congress President said that Narendra Modi has abandoned India’s traditional neutral foreign policy for the sake of blind friendship with the US President.

Referring to the Jawaharlal Nehru era, he said, “Our country followed a non-alignment policy during Nehru’s tenure. Because of that non-alignment policy, the whole world has always stood by India at the international level.

Kharge claimed that the current government has completely scrapped the policies followed by the previous government. He alleged that the current Prime Minister is busy going to every country and only promoting ‘our friend, our friend’ “This attempt to appease everyone on the international stage has finally landed us in big trouble. By trying to appease everyone, Modiji is actually putting a noose around our own neck,” the Congress president lamented.

Overall, the Congress leadership believes that this mutual equation between Narendra Modi and Donald Trump has pushed India’s national interests to the brink of extreme damage.
