GUWAHATI: A professor was found dead inside the premises of Pandu College in Guwahati, triggering concern in the area. The deceased has been identified as Pranjal Bhuyan, a professor in the Chemistry Department of the college.

Following the incident, Jalukbari Police reached the spot and inspected the scene, launching an investigation into the matter.
While talking to GPlus, a Jalukbari Police Station official said that it appears to be a case of suicide, with the professor having died by suicide inside his official quarter on the college premises. The official added that investigation into the matter is currently underway.
