Indian badminton squad announced for Asian Games, PV Sindhu and Satwik-Chirag to lead

Badminton Association of India general secretary Sanjay Mishra said success in Indian badminton no longer depends on just one or two players., Instead, each division has a growing depth of young talent that can bring glory to the country.

The team has a great mix of experienced and fresh talent. In men’s doubles, Hariharan Amsakrunan and MR Arjun are in great form. In women’s doubles, Trisha Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand will lead India’s challenge and will be joined by rising players Simran Singhi and Kavipriya Selvam. Thailand Masters Champion Devika Seehag, Ishani Barua and Tarun Mannepali added strength to the singles category. Also, Dhruv Kapila and Tanisha Krasto added experience and quality to the doubles category. India will send players in all five divisions for the individual tournament, jTarget Sen, Ayush Shwetty, The country will be represented in singles by PV Sindh and Puri Hooda. Satvik and Chirag in doubles, Hariharan-Arjuna, Trisha-Gayatri, Kavipriya-Simran and Dhruv Kapila and Tanisha Krasto will compete in mixed doubles.
