Yesterday (Friday) was a very important and interesting day for Bollywood, as three films from different genres released in theaters on the same day. Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Bharat Bhagya Vidhata’, Diljit Dosanjh’s ‘Mein Waaps Aunga’ and veteran actor Manoj Bajpayee’s ‘Governor’ released on the same day. Now, the first day box office collection figures of the film are also in the spotlight.
Box office report
Trade analysts were somewhat surprised by the opening day collections. This is because none of the films had a great or explosive start at the box office. More surprisingly, despite having a strong star-studded cast, none of the three films touched the 1 crore mark on the first day.
‘India is the creator of destiny‘
First Day Collection: Rs 0.76 crore
Starring: Kangana Ranaut, Girija Oak and Smita Tambe.
‘Bharat Bhagya Vidhata’ is a heart-wrenching and thrilling true story of the 26/11 terror attacks in Mumbai. It tells the story of the extraordinary heroism of the doctors and healthcare workers of Kema Hospital, who risked their lives to save the patients.
Kangana Ranaut is playing the role of a nurse in the film. Despite having very strong and emotional content, the film failed to attract the expected audience on the first day of its release. As a result, the first day collection was limited to Rs 0.76 crore.
‘Main view is Aunga‘
First day collection: Rs 0.91 crore
Starring: Diljit Dosanjh, Bedang Raina, Naseeruddin Shah and Sharwari Owagh.
Directed by renowned director Imtiaz Ali, ‘Mein Waps Aunga’ is a love story in cycles. Among the three films released on Friday, the film received the most support and love from the audience. Diljit Dosanjh and Sharbari Owag’s on-screen chemistry in the film was well received by the audience.
The film is strengthened by the performances of Naseeruddin Shah and Bedang Raina. On the strength of catchy songs and Imtiaz Ali’s unique romantic storytelling style, the film grossed Rs 0.91 crore on its first day of release.
‘the governor‘
First Day Collection: Rs 0.69 crore
Starring: Manoj Bajpayee, Adaa Sharma and Naushad Mohammed Kunju.
Director Chinmoy Mandlekar has brought ‘Governor’ for the audience who love emotional and thought provoking films. It is a political drama film set against the backdrop of India’s historic economic crisis
Although it is serious and deeply topical, the film is mainly meant for a certain class of audience. So the film’s box office journey on the first day of release was not very good. Governor earned Rs 0.69 crore on its opening day.
Although the three films have different themes, none of them have shown any sign of huge success at the box office. However, trade experts believe that if weekend viewership increases, the film’s earnings may change significantly. Now let’s see which film can attract the most audience over the weekend and lead the box office battle.
