The most interesting thing is that the goat named Dhurandhar is the most talked about goat among the buyers. Dhurandhar is left behind by Salman and Shahrukh with his height, weight and attractive looks.
Nadeem, a shopkeeper in Chilampur market, said that goats have become the first choice of people. There is a huge crowd in the market to watch Dhurandhar and everyone loves it. Many customers have taken pictures with it and the kids look very excited and happy with it. The shopkeeper said that the price of the goat is close to one lakh rupees. Salman and Shahrukh are also priced between Rs 70,000 and Rs 80,000
Goats imported from Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh are the most popular. Traders said that the demand for large size and special breeds of goats is high this year. As evening approaches, shoppers throng the Meena Bazaar and Jame Masjid areas, creating an exciting fair-like atmosphere in the entire area.
Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated in May so people have started booking goats now. Although the cost of fodder and transport increased, people’s enthusiasm did not decrease. People buy small and big goats according to their budget. Special security and cleanliness arrangements have been made in the markets ahead of the festival.
