Munnabhai MBBS, Bihar Medical Science Entrance Exam Arrested


Bihar Police has busted a major cheating scandal during re-examination of Bachelor of Medical Sciences entrance examination in Lakshesrai district. According to the police, The cycle arranges for the examination of other meritorious students instead of the actual candidates. The whole incident is reminiscent of the story of the popular 2003 film Munnabhai MBBS, e’A real doctor secretly helped the main character to pass the exam.

Police arrested a total of 24 people including medical students and biometric company employees involved in the examination process. After the cancellation of the previous exam due to question paper leak, the admission exam was held again on Sunday.

Police suspect that Arpit Raj, a student of a medical college in Gaya, is one of the main protagonists of the fake gang He was earlier questioned by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in another question paper leak case. Mayank Kashyap, another third year student of Patna Medical College, has also been arrested in this case. Police also arrested 14 employees of the biometric company involved in the testing process.

The network came to light after Mayank Kashyap entered Hasanpur High School’s examination center as an employee of a biometric company. After his initial arrest, the police raided several other schools in Lakhisarai and arrested seven examinees and many others involved in the gang. Investigating officials suspect that the circle, with insider help, had planned to disrupt the entire examination process by substituting trained candidates for the actual examinees.

Medical and nursing students are also involved in the investigation. Poonam Kumari, a nursing student of Banaras Hindu University, was caught trying to appear for another candidate. Also, Saurabh Jha, a student of All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Rae Bareli. Police also arrested Aman Aggarwal, a student of a medical college in Delhi, and Sanjeev, a nursing student of Nalanda Medical College and his brother.

How these students indulged in this activity despite the strict instructions of the college authorities during the examinationable toL that is now in question. Medical colleges have instructed students not to leave the premises during exams and have organized various seminars to keep them busy. However, some students did not participate in these programs. Police said Mayank Kashyap left the college on the pretext of illness and was later arrested in Lakhisarai. Bihar Police are now continuing their investigation to bust the entire gang and identify others involved.
