Ambubachi Mahayog to Begin at 9:08:42 PM on June 22, Temple Doors to Reopen at Sunrise on June 26


 

GUWAHATI: Final preparations are underway for the Maha Ambubachi Mahayog 2026 at Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati, which will be observed from June 22 to June 26.

According to the Bor Deuri of Kamakhya Temple, the Prabritti, marking the commencement of Ambubachi, will begin on June 22 at 9:08:42 PM. Following the commencement of the sacred observance, the temple doors will remain closed to devotees.

The Nibritti, signifying the conclusion of the ritual period, will take place on June 26 at sunrise, after which the temple doors will be reopened for devotees.

Thousands of pilgrims, saints, and devotees from across the country are expected to gather at Nilachal Hill for one of the most significant spiritual events in the region.
