GUWAHATI: The Sribhumi Police have seized a huge consignment of narcotics worth ₹6.4 crore and arrested two traffickers as part of the Assam government's ongoing crackdown against drug trafficking.
During the operation, police recovered 20,000 YABA tablets and 14,100 bottles of codeine syrup. The total value of the seized contraband is estimated at around ₹6.4 crore.
The two accused were taken into custody, and further investigation is underway to trace the source of the drugs and identify others involved in the network.
Assam Police said the anti-drug campaign is continuing across the state with a focus on dismantling drug trafficking and related crimes.
