The husband suspects that his wife is involved in an extramarital affair. The man invited his wife’s ‘boyfriend’ home. He was invited on the pretext of drinking together. The woman’s husband then allegedly killed the man. The incident took place in Goregaon area of Mumbai. The accused has been arrested in connection with the murder.
According to police sources, the deceased’s name is Vikas Ashok Bhusare (48). Bhimraj Omprakash Sharma is accused of murdering him.
Police said on Thursday that Bhimraj suspected that he was having an affair with his wife. Bhimraj called him. Bhimraj invited her to sit and drink wine together at his house in Aray area of Goregaon.
Bikash came to his house on Wednesday after receiving the invitation. There Bhimraj and his wife were drinking with Bikash. The victim was later allegedly killed.
A police officer in Aray area said that Bhimraj suspected Omprakash Sharma of having an affair with his wife Bikash. Bhimraj invited him to his residence. He, his wife and Vikas were drinking together. Bhimraj then warns Vikas not to meet his wife again. Bhimraj allegedly cut Vikas’s throat with a knife in front of his wife.
After that, Bhimraj fled from the spot, police said. He was hiding in the nearby forest. When the police reached the spot, the accused tried to escape again. He was arrested after a chase of about three hours.
Police claim that Bhimraj has confessed his crime. He told the police that Vikas used to molest his wife earlier. He has been warned about this several times. Even after this Vikas saw his wife.
Officials said the incident is under investigation. The role of the accused’s wife is also under investigation.
