Riyan Parag Named Vice-Captain Of India A Team for Upcoming ODI Tri-Series in Sri Lanka


 

GUWAHATI: Guwahati boy Riyan Parag has been named Vice-Captain of the India A squad for the upcoming One-Day Tri-Series in Sri Lanka.
Tilak Verma will lead the team.

The series scheduled to begin on June 9 will feature hosts Sri Lanka A, India A and Afghanistan A. The white-ball series will be played in Dambulla, while the multi-day matches will take place in Galle.

Following the limited-overs tri-series, India A will also play two multi-day matches against Sri Lanka A, with the squad for the red-ball fixtures to be announced at a later date.

India A squad for the tri-series: Tilak Varma (Captain), Priyansh Arya, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Riyan Parag (Vice-Captain), Ayush Badoni, Nishant Sindhu, Harsh Dubey, Suryansh Shedge, Prabhsimran Singh (WK), Kumar Kushagra (WK), Vipraj Nigam, Yash Thakur, Yudhvir Singh, Anshul Kamboj, Arshad Khan.

Assam Cricket Association has congratulated Riyan Parag for being named as the vice captain of India A.

“Heartiest Congratulations to Riyan Parag on being named Vice-Captain of the India A squad for the upcoming One-Day Tri-Series in Sri Lanka, scheduled to begin on 9 June 2026,” ACA wrote on X.

Riyan Parag, who has represented India in international white-ball cricket and is serving as RR's captain in IPL 2026, has played 55 List A matches, scoring 1,947 runs at an average of 41.42 and a strike rate of 104.06.
