GUWAHATI: The District Development Committee (DDC) of Kamrup Metropolitan held a review meeting on Thursday, June 11, at the District Commissioner's office to assess the progress of various welfare schemes and public service initiatives being implemented across the district.
The meeting was attended by Central Guwahati MLA Vijay Gupta, New Guwahati MLA Diplu Ranjan Sarma, and Hemanta Choudhury, Officer on Special Duty to the Chief Minister and representative of the Jalukbari MLA. Representatives of the MLAs from Dispur and Dimoria constituencies were also present, along with District Commissioner Swapnil Paul.
During the meeting, officials conducted a detailed review of developmental and welfare programmes being implemented in the district. Issues related to public convenience and service delivery were also discussed.
Progress reports of schemes linked to the Chief Minister's Dashboard (CM Dashboard) were presented through a PowerPoint presentation, enabling stakeholders to assess implementation status and identify areas requiring attention.
The meeting was attended by District Development Commissioner Parijat Bhuyan, Zila Parishad Chief Executive Officer Kalpana Deka, Additional Commissioner Jonti Deka, Guwahati Municipal Corporation Additional Commissioner Dr. Dhruba Jyoti Hazarika, New Guwahati SDO (Civil) Arundhati Narah Mipun, Dispur SDO (Civil) Biman Das, Dimoria SDO (Civil) Konkon Sarma and Jalukbari SDO (Civil) Apurba Kumar Nath.
Officials from several departments, including Excise, Health, Jal Jeevan Mission, Education, Social Welfare, Assam State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ASRLM), Transport, Agriculture, Fisheries, Soil Conservation and the Public Works Department (PWD), also participated in the review meeting.
The meeting aimed to strengthen inter-departmental coordination and ensure the timely implementation of government schemes for the benefit of residents across Kamrup Metropolitan district.
