ONGC gas leak in Sibsagar: Authorities blame old pipeline


Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONG) in Shilakuti Bhakat village under Shivsagar district on Monday morning.Ration (ONGC) pipeline has caused serious concern throughout the region. Some residents of the area complained that even though similar incidents had happened earlier, compensation was not given. They claimed that the workers visited the spot but did not take adequate measures. If the exhaust gases catch fire, So there is a danger of burning the whole area. There are also serious allegations of corruption in the name of pipeline repair in connivance with contractors.
