Ram temple theft, accused’s father says what happened happened


Around Rs 10 lakh was recovered from the house of Lavkush Mishra, accused of stealing money from the Ram Mandir charity box. The operation was conducted in the presence of General Secretary of Ram Mandir Trust Champat Roy and police administration. According to the complaint, 27-year-old Lavkush worked as an employee at the Ram temple and was involved in stealing money from the charity box. The money recovered during the search was taken away by the investigators. Bachulal, the father of the accused, has now come to light.

An audio of accused father Bachchulal has gone viral on social media. When he was asked his name there, he said his name was Bachchulal and added that he was Lovekush’s father. Bachulal said, Lovekush was working there for the last four-five months. He also admitted to searching the house and recovering the money. He further said, what was supposed to happen happened.

The Uttar Pradesh government on Saturday constituted a three-member Special Investigation Team to probe allegations related to the contribution and financial management of the Ram Temple Trust in Ayodhya, officials said. The party was formed at the behest of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at the request of Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirthkshetra Trust. The team includes Lucknow Divisional Commissioner and Administrative Officer Vijay Biswas Pant, Inspector General of Police and Senior Police Officer Kiran S and Special Secretary Finance Department Neel Ratan. They have been asked to submit the preliminary report within seven days and the final report within 15 days.

According to villagers, Lovekush worked as a car repair mechanic. After marriage, he got a job in temple trust for about a year. Villagers said that after getting a job, his financial situation suddenly changed. Locals complain that he spent a lot of money when he came to the village.
