There has been strong reaction across the country over the series of exam controversies and question paper leaks in the education sector. The Cockroach Janata Party (KJP) has launched a nationwide agitation demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Addressing a press conference in Pune on Thursday, the organization’s founder Abhijit Deepak announced that they have issued a special education manifesto as the first step of the movement.
Abhijit Deepak told the press conference that their nationwide movement has started from Pune University campus. According to the constitution of the country, the movement will be conducted in a completely peaceful manner.‘B, he revealed. According to the organization, the manifesto released today mainly contains a blueprint to solve the problems of the country’s education system. These include complete stoppage of question papers in competitive and recruitment examinations, declaration of results within stipulated time, bringing 100% transparency in entrance examination and recruitment process and increasing accountability of examination conducting bodies. The manifesto calls for an immediate end to the mental and social harassment faced by crores of students in the country due to delays and various irregularities in the conduct of examinations.
Abhijit Deepak made it clear that the movement is not limited to Pune. After Jaipur is PuneProtests will also spread to major cities like Lucknow, Amritsar and Bangalore. Then, on June 20, students and youth from across the country will gather at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar. The founder of the Cockroach Janata Party warned that the future of over 1 crore students in the country is under threat today and the Union Education Minister alone is responsible for it. They said they will not move an inch away from the Jantar Mantar and will not withdraw their agitation until Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigns from his post.

The first protest they called at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar on June 6 was attended by many students from different states of the country. Abhijit claimed that they were ready to hold open talks with the government but the government chose the path of negotiation and blocked the access and other social media accounts of the Crocodile Janata Party. He added that the government cannot ignore the youth like this and the Center should try to understand the problems of the country’s youth without calling them fake.
