A newly married woman died while on honeymoon with her husband. The body of a 27-year-old woman working in the IT sector in Delhi was recovered from a guest house in Uttarakhand’s Mussoorie. On Monday morning, the victim’s body was found in the guest room in a bloody state. Police have registered an unusual death case and are investigating the incident. Police are investigating whether it was an accident or a brutal murder.
Soumya Sricharan married Radha Gayatri in November last year. Both are originally from Andhra Pradesh. While Radha worked in Delhi, her husband Soumya stayed in Pune for work. They went to Mussoorie a few days ago and on June 14 they took shelter in a guest house near Tipperary Dhar. According to her husband Soumya, they drank together till around 3 am on Sunday night and then went to bed. On Monday morning he woke up to find his wife Radha lying naked on the floor and bleeding from her nose.
The local police was immediately informed. The police recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem to find out the exact cause of death. Police said the woman was lying on the ground covered in urine. Blood stains were also found on the bed sheets and two empty liquor bottles were recovered. Police initially registered a case of unnatural death and started investigation, but husband Soumya is suspected. The investigators are trying to unravel the mystery by interrogating him.
