Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared some special photos from the G-7 Summit on social media on Tuesday. At the meeting in France, he was seen posing for a photo alongside US President Donald Trump, French President Emmanuel Macron and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Maloney.
In the caption of the photo, the Prime Minister wrote that they are united with the rest of the world leaders at the G-7 summit. He said that they will work together for the prosperity, stability and welfare of the countries.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also seen chatting with Donald Trump in the meeting. India and the US are currently negotiating a trade agreement. Experts consider the meeting of the two leaders to be very important.
The two leaders were seen shaking hands and sitting next to each other during the round table meeting. They last met in Washington in February
Tuesday’s meeting has another important context. Exactly a year ago, in May 2025, tensions between India and Pakistan continued for three days over Operation Sindoor. Trump claimed that his mediation had stopped fighting between the two countries. The US president has said this many times but India has always denied it. Delhi is clear that the ceasefire was decided in consultation between the two countries without any third party interference.
