A young man from Thailand has been arrested for his involvement with the police. As usual he went to sit on the toilet of his house, but he did not imagine that inside the toilet there was a horrible python snake about twelve feet long.
As he sits on the toilet, the snake bites his testicles. Out of compassion for its life, he strangles the snake and starts beating it with nearby brush and after a few minutes of struggle, he manages to kill the snake.
The entire toilet turned red with blood in the attack. The family members rushed him to the hospital. Doctors said the bite wound was deep but luckily he did not need any complicated surgery. He was given a tetanus injection and kept in the hospital for a while.
In Thailand, snakes often enter people’s homes through sewers or pipelines during the rainy season. Not only that, similar incidents have happened before as well. In 2016, a man was attacked by a dragon while sitting on a toilet in Bangkok. In 2021, a woman in southern Thailand faced a similar situation. Thai authorities have repeatedly warned people to turn on lights, flush the water and inspect the inside of the toilet before using it.
Zoologists believe dragons are not venomous but their powerful bite and coiling ability can be devastating. Snakes usually attack humans in self-defense. The courage shown by him to kill the snake at the police station at the risk of his own life is truly rare.
According to experts, rapid urbanization has forced wildlife to lose their habitats and migrate to human settlements. This conflict between man and nature may increase in the future. He is currently safe at the police station but the incident has given him a fresh perspective on conflict with nature.
