Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has again targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi amid the NIT exam question paper leak and the ongoing student agitation over the country’s education system. He alleged that the future of the youth of the country has suffered the most during the Prime Minister’s tenure. He also claimed that the country’s education system had been allowed to be destroyed and that the central government had given protection to those responsible.
In a post on social media on Thursday, Rahul Gandhi wrote that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is clearly under pressure due to the ongoing student agitation. He said that the prime minister himself has done the biggest damage to the future of the country’s youth. Rahul Gandhi has alleged that the country’s education system has been pushed to the brink of destruction by deliberate capture. He said that they were spared without taking action against those responsible for the situation.
The Congress leader made the comments in response to a social media post by the Prime Minister. Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said that the welfare and future of the country’s youth is his government’s top priority. He also gave a clear message that those trying to destroy the future of the youth will not be spared. The Prime Minister wrote in his post, nothing can be more important than the future and interests of the youth of the country and strict action will be taken against those who tamper with their future.
The Prime Minister said that he has taken the issue of question paper leak seriously and has directed the concerned authorities and officials to take all necessary steps. Rahul Gandhi, meanwhile, claimed that government assurances alone would not change the situation. He alleged that for a long time there have been incidents of question papers being leaked in various competitive examinations in the country, due to which lakhs of students and their families have been left in uncertainty. He said it is essential to take strict action against the culprits to restore public confidence in the education system.
The political conflict between Congress and BJP is going on over question paper leak and student youth movement. The central government has claimed that all necessary steps have been taken to protect the interests of the students. However, the opposition alleges that repeated question paper leaks prove that there is a major crisis in the country’s examination and education system. Hence the political debate on this important issue has increased.
